Make it easy for yourself

What's the one thing you can do today to help you achieve today's goals?

What can you do that will make it easier or more fun?

This question is a great way to start looking after yourself.

I know at 2 pm I will be HANGRY, and it won't be pretty unless I'm prepared.  I can work through, up to a point, and then I start falling apart.

To make it easier on myself and to achieve my goal of eating foods that are kind to my body I can simply pack lunch. This is the one thing that will make tomorrow much nicer. 

On Sunday I can plan my lunches so that this week is sorted.

This is kindness. I am looking after my future self.

Let's try another example:

I have lessons to prepare and assessments to complete this week. This week was tax preparation time, therefore, my office at home was looking a little .... neglected!

Today I asked myself this same question... What's the one thing that will make this week easier and nicer?

I spent 15 minutes arranging my office - trash taken out, pens away, items cleared away that didn't belong

The space feels more conducive to getting work done.  I feel like I have room to think.  It's easier to find things and nicer to be here.

Try it out this week.
